Dear Sir or Madam,
Originally from a shipbuilding Design background, having served a
Drawing Office apprenticeship at Swan Hunter' Shipyards on the river Tyne in the UK, I
have spent the last twenty five years working Worldwide on a freelance basis either with
recruitment agencies or through my own Company.
I have spent many years in Canada gaining Dual Citizenship, before
returning to Britain whilst retaining a residence in Edmonton, Alberta as my base for work
in North America.
A large proportion of my work experience has been in the Oil & Gas
Offshore Industry in Design, Detail, Fabrication and Construction including positions
involving Project Engineering and Management, covering a large spectrum of the industry.
I have been very fortunate to have been presented with a large variety
of interesting projects, including Offshore HVAC from layout design, detail, fabrication,
installation & commissioning in Process Areas and Accommodation blocks, including A60
& H120 Firewalls.
Continued involvement in shipbuilding resulted in my engagement to
handle the Conceptual Design & Preliminary Detailing of a Multi-Purpose Cable Laying
Vessel through to bid tender stage, but unfortunately due to fluctuating oil prices, the
project was shelved to be resurrected at a later date.
Recent experience has included, preparation of Hydrographic Charts on Pre & Post lay
surveys of SubSea Pipes and Cables using AutoCAD, Lites & MicroStation,

survey vessels.
